FFXIV OCs who are not the Warrior of Light.

Khaishan Enkhtuya

Age: 22-24
Race: Xaela Au Ra
From: Azim Steppe
Residence: Gridania
Height: 6'8 (203cm)
Class: Lancer/Conjurer
Occupation: Consultant/Guide, healer, Scion of the Seventh Dawn
Birthday: 9th Sun of the 4th Astral Moon (9/7)
An immigrant from the mountain range cradling the Azim Steppe who came to find a home less hostile, though he hasn't had much luck. His constant need to fuss over others has earned him a part-time job guiding outsiders through the Black Shroud, paying for his brother's way into the country.Despite his resting frown and stern, prudish, no-nonsense demeanor, Khaishan is a nurturing person, and the concept of betraying or upsetting people is beyond him entirely. He and his brother spent their entire childhood traveling with their mother, who had a bounty on her head in the Steppe. She made a habit of making enemies - generally on purpose - and was seen as a curse upon the land. As he's aether-sensitive and the youngest, he was put in charge of homemaking and tending to his family's injuries, rather than suffer those who would seek to put his mother in the ground. Even after illness took her, most give him and his brother a wide berth, lest her sons continue her tradition of sowing chaos and unrest.Khaishan was born with the Echo, and while he's never had a vision, it gives him a sweet advantage with communicating with foreigners. He's trying to learn new languages manually in the meantime.

People of Interest

Yerentai

Khaishan's older brother. He's been taking care of Khaishan his whole life, but has also been dealing with ne'er-do-wells at the same time. He's cold, overprotective, unwilling to trust, and deeply pessimistic, a perfect mirror of his younger sibling.Acts much warmer and more casual when alone with Khaishan, at least.

Alulu Alu

Khaishan's most frequent customer, an Ul'ahn biologist obsessed with Gridanian agriculture. Despite her field of expertise being 'biology', all she cares about is botany, and she's constantly dragging Khaishan out into the wilds to supervise her as she raids the local shrubbery. For whatever reason, she always seems to know everything about everything. Fortunately, she is too obsessed with trees for anyone to rely on her as an informant.

Foulques of the Mist

After a...rather tense altercation during Khaishan's lancer training, Khaishan was convinced that it simply isn't possible for Foulques to be charged fairly for any of his many, many crimes, and it's for the best if Foulques left the Black Shroud altogether.Their relationship isn't exactly sunny, but getting paid to kill extremely dangerous things has cooled his tempers. Currently trying to make Khaishan think he's cool.

The Ga tribe

Stranded in Abalathia's Spine 250 years ago, when the Ixal were settling Xelphatol. They assisted with establishing the community and opted to stay, turning what should have been the common tale of an upstart Nunh's doomed attempt to start a tribe into the start of a long-lived village.Due to their extreme isolation and centuries-long familiarity with a matriarchal society, their culture has become deeply integrated with their neighbours. They share their religion and naming conventions, and rather than a leading male to take on protecting, leading, and siring the core of their next generation, Nunhs of the Ga tribe are elected figures tasked with childcare and mediation while the women work and lead.Typically, Ga Miqo'te will venture out to find sires, primarily in Coerthas outposts and Gyr Abanian villages. A derisive rumour is spreading that the reason Ishgardian soldiers stay their hand against Natalan is because they don't want to threaten the chance of the mysterious and beautiful felines emerging for such meetings. As a splinter of the G tribe, they've had their own Allagan Eye wielder in the past, who managed to open an Allagan storage unit, revealing a treasure trove of Meracydian art that inspired a renaissance of stonemasonry. These sculptures are now their primary export.

Ga'latozol Nunh

A bit of an idiot, but very sociable and great at mediating. Taking care of toddlers is second nature to him.

Ga'methuli Ramozol

A merchant who deals with the ixal of Natalan and Xelphatol the most. She's got a knack for magic.

Ixal characters

Xethuli Huizan has been put in charge of those less useful to the military, primarily in collecting rations and materials for balloons. She's not had much luck, especially with Mazel, a windcaller who hasn't had any success in calling winds, and can't do even the most basic tasks very well. She's measuring her ability to succeed on if he makes it. Yotoli is taking bets he won't.

Avalon Lonlon

A deeply inscrutable and unsettlingly calm lalafell of incredible beauty, his goals are unclear, but he knows far more than he should. It's clear he has the echo - and he cheerfully agrees to assist the scions in all that they need - but he's neglected to join their ranks for whatever reason. Surely such a carefully neutral person shouldn't object to joining a neutral group?

Mozu Rokuyari

A simpleton born and raised in the confederacy, Mozu's latest unwise decision was to set sail and see the world. This unfortunately let them to being forced to do menial tasks in a foreign country instead of at home. They may seem like a pest, but they're actually quite skilled in archery and fishing, and pick up tasks quickly. It's just that their decision-making skills are so...

Osk Tswarra

A girl with the echo haunted by the whispers of the damned. Ever since she was young, she's been able to pick up on the splintered memories of the land she walks on, and its given her little else but insomnia and a bizarrely complete understanding of local history.Anxious, cowardly, and pessimistic, Osk is an impenetrably hard person to get along with.

Dag The Burning

A Hrothgar who keeps his past personal, and treats Osk with the loyalty one might expect of a Helion would give his queen. Came to Ul'dah to fight on the Bloodsands, but had a change of heart when he saw opportunity in Osk's abilities. It's obvious he's looking for something, but what it is, he won't say.

Cassia Bergamot

A mysterious individual trained in the Sharlayan art of divinity who claims to hail from Thavnair. She knows enough about alchemy for this to be a feasible truth, but seems a little too mysterious for it to be an easy answer.Intrigued by geomancy but unable (or unwilling) to return to Othard to find those who might teach it, she has set out to learn Eorzean white magic instead.

Unsynlona Aerstbyrm

Owns a ship that sells to Thavnair, and has unlikely connections with many big political and monetarist names as a result of her work. Pirates often use her ship, the Knocking Tree, as a high seas pawn shop, and she has all kinds of suspicious items hidden in her hull. One may assume such an accomplished woman is a schemer, but she's actually quite clumsy and straightforward. It's a credit to her character how beloved she is.

Merthelin Charledore

A duskwight who lives in the ruins of the cave system punctured open by Dalamud. He bears the echo, allowing his head to remain clear even as Bahamut reached out to claim shades to protect itself.Bahamut often calls out to him, regardless of its effectiveness. It seems its recognized something inside his blood.

Arata Of the Black Sands

A xaela born in the Ryakgyr Peninsula who grew up in Doma. Based his entire life on servitude to a mysterious benefactor of his, though the identity of this figure is a secret he guards mercliessly. He's heartbroken to be sent off to Eorzea in hopes of currying the favour of important figures, most of all because of how easily he is scammed out of his belongings.

Eilif Coldblade

A treasure hunter who was inspired by the kindness and firmness of the adults in his life when Ala Mhigo fell in his childhood, and strives to keep that same energy in his own life. This has primarily manifested as almost compulsively picking up abandoned children for Zhloe Aliapoh's orphanage. The poor girl is run ragged, but he keeps finding more kids.

Jubilee Faucillien

An eccentric Sharlayan who has taken up residence in Idyllshire. In fact, they've been in there since its founding, and have been working with sad founders so long they often slide into gobbyspeak, as much as the treasure hunters wish they didn't.They're always scheming of ways to make a profit, and they prefer showmanship as a trade - though this far north, it's not been much use. Thankfully, Rowena has begun to fund their ventures.

Remi Logedanrel

A brusque treasure hunter employed by Rowena who lives alone by the river, and the unwilling counterweight to Jubilee's whimsy as the only person who's even noticed that Jubilee used to live in Sharlayan and does not share their government's desire for secrecy in the slightest. In order to prevent others from picking up on it, she's keeping a close eye on them.
